New page

MISSION
* First preparation for first data. We will practice on the Full Dress Rehearsal (FDR1) data from February.
* This we do in B90 on May 6, 7 and 8.
* Manuel, Andreas, Cyril, Nicola, Sigve and Miguele participated.

INFRASTRUCTURE
* We use lhepat11 and lhepat12 for this jamboree.
* FDR Information : https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/Atlas/FDR1ForUsers
* FDR USERS' Hypernews : https://hypernews.cern.ch/HyperNews/Atlas/login.pl?&url=%2fHyperNews%2fAtlas%2fget%2ffdrUsers%2ehtml
* FDR1 Daten : /ngse1/
DAY 1 : SET UP ENVIRONMENT AND CHECKOUT

DAY 1 : COMPILE AND RUN YOUR ANALYSIS SKELETON

DAY 2 : SUSY DPD INFO here Dpd

DAY 2/3 : Create the DPDs like here CreateDPDs

DAY 3 : RUN THE AOD TO DPD ON THE GRID

DAY 3 : DEBRIEFING
* In general everyone was pleased by working together. We learned from each other and this was very efficient.
* Andreas, Cyril, Nicola and Miguele were exposed to Athena for the first time. Sigve deepened his knowledge too (DPD productio).
* We are now more or less on the same technical level.
* We were not able to do much physics in this first jamboree, but that was not really expected.
* The challenge now is to continue on a daily basis. Especially Andreas expressed concerns about his time for analysis activity. In principle he would like to switch to analysis in a month, but this depends on his SFO duties.
* How to proceed ?
* Manuel and Sigve will produce mu20 trigger turn on plots, getting efficiencies from data in a couple of ways.
* Further we should start to compare MC and FDR plots (Nicola and Cyril could for instance pick one interesting one each for a start).
* The last point requires grid ability. This we all should gain very soon (Cyril is working on it).

NEXT JAMBOREE with reprocessed FDR1 or first pass FDR2. Will continue with Friday analysis discussions.
