Dear all,

as you already know, we implemented all the informations related to allocation
and dispatching of bricks in the central databases. In order to have an easy
access to this information Alessandro Ruggieri has written a WEB interface in
order to deal with them in a simple and automatic way.

This is structured in 3 levels:

-one for the assigner (scanning coordinator), who assigns the bricks to the
various destinations

-one for the sender, who physically handles the expeditions and keeps record of
the expedition times, vectors and tracking numbers

-one for the receivers (you), who should aknowledge the reception of the
bricks (also the CS in case of Japan)

The access to the 3 levels is achieved by logging on the analysis follower
with different accounts:

-The standard OPERA account does not access to any level concerning the
dispatching, but it can of course visualize all the bricks handling/dispatching
history

-The assigner and dispatcher have their own special accounts with particular
priviledges

-Finally each laboratory has his private account in order to deal with the
bricks assigned to it (I will send to each one of you username and passwords in
a separate mail)

So, every laboratory, when logging in can visualize 'its' bricks, i.e. the
bricks that have been allocated and shipped to it. Once the brick arrives, it
is necessary that the concerned lab logs the reception acknowledgement in the
DB.

This can be done very easily by following these instructions:

Starting from
http://141.108.7.20/opitaweb/UserLogin.aspx

the responsible of each laboratory must connect using the username and password
that I will provide in a further mail.

Once logged on, click on the link at the top right "my bricks": this allows to
visualize which bricks have been shipped to you. Once you receive a brick,
click to confirm on 'Received YES' in order to registered the infos in the db
(the reception date will be logged automatically).

Once this is done, you will see a new link, allowing you, if necessary,
send the brick to another laboratory (for future re-scanning, if ever needed).

Please, start using this interface and don't exitate to contact me in case
of problems.

Best regards,
                 Elisabetta
