On /terabig/scan/macros you have a bash script called start_scan.x

To launch it :

- go in a scanning directory (should be MICROSCOPE#/ONLINE)
- execute start_scan.x YOUR_BRICK_NUMBER YOUR_NAME
- Example: start_scan.x 36423 HOMER

What it's doing :

  • Look for CS predictions in local DB
  • Copy the CS from OPITA01 to local DB if needed
  • Copy the header files (b00000.h, …)
  • Update the header files according to the brick number and the user
  • Create a ready to use ChangeStatus.txt file for Sysal
  • Create the brick directory (Part 1., Step 3 of the official Scanning tutorial)
  • Modify the X-Ray marks map file to keep only the 3 first marks
  • Create the scan.x script
  • Copy used scripts from /terabig/scan/macros to the brick directory
  • Display the CS predictions and the muon candidate
  • Make vertex predictions using the CS predictions
  • Do the event viewer pictures (option)
