STATUS: Event not yet located - change Mic?

  • searched pred in pl 57, 56, 55 -> nothing found
  • made volume scan around predicted muon and converging other track -> found one matching, displaced by 2mm.
  • no other tracks in totalscan volume match any tracks
  • totalscan tracks have lot of holes (low efficiency on microscope?)
  • at the beginning there where problem with the alignment -> solved by defining different parameters in fullalignment
  • the stage was not stable (went to different positions) -> solved by changing filter configuration from 3.2 MHz -> 12.8 MHz!
  • checked all track position with totalscan volume (7000x7000) - NOTHING FOUND all other tracks are not there.
  • NEXT: go to other microscope with other person??

TRACK TOO FAR AWAY FROM CS PREDICTION

Track is too far away to be the muon (2mm/1.5mm displacement).

Check displacement on other tracks. Totalscan volume around prediction from plate 57 for 4 other tracks (7000x7000). For none of the prediction there was a track found withing 50mrad from the prediction. NOTHING FOUND!!!

Try later on a different microscope by a different person?

Triple peak in the alignment of plate 57 to 56.








  • Stage problem: the stage does not move to the same postion (displaced by about 64 microns) - changed max speed in stage configuration from 700000 to 350000.
