This page should give you hint to find information about how to access Fermilab
Computing ressources
Visit the Get Started page to find out how to request a FNAL account. Note that you can request the on-site access at the same time as the computing ressources access.
Onsite
To get on-site, you will have to book the flight through the UNIBE Travel platform, find an accommodation, either through Fermilab or independently, reserve a car and check if you need any VISA or similar paper w.r.t. your nationality and the duration of your stay.
Housing
A house (or a dorm room) on the campus is recommended. For a house ask Michele to fill a house request form (HRF) and then submit an additional HRF for yourself. For a dorm room submit a HRF yourself. If an accommodation outside Fermilab is needed, ask Michele for approval.
Get onsite access
The main source of information is FNAL website. If you have received a letter of invitation it means you already requested the on-site access during the request of computing resources access, otherwise you will have to fill it.
Note that in addition to the general training, there will be additional ones. Your point of contact is Louise Sutter. She needs to know in advance that you are coming and make sure she signs you up BEFORE you arrive for all the necessary trainings.
Car Rental
To rent a car through Fermilab, visit Fermilab website. Here you find the information how you can book the car. You can use "direct billing through Fermilab", but you need to contact travel@fnal.gov to get this working. Our budget code is R5S222, Michele needs to approve it so put him in CC.
UNIBE Travel Platform
The UNIBE travel platform needs to be used to reserve the flight tickets. It it was not already done, first you will need to register a profile.
