Running atlfast2 is much longer that atlfast1 and you will probably have to segment our job in subjobs of ~ 250 events each and send this in batch or on grid. For the command, - first you need to create your usual EVNT file with csc_evgen08_trf.py like it seems you did. - second you process another jobTransform named csc_simul_reco_trf.py as explained here : https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/Atlas/AtlfastII#Run_options_2008_Monte_Carlo_sam - probably you need to modify some of the configuration options required by the jobtransform in order to be sure you stick to official production options. As an example, you can use same options as this SU4 task : http://www-f9.ijs.si/atlpy/atlprod/atlfasttask/1448/  You need to click on PANDA LINK and on the popup window, you will find all options used during production by the jobTransform.   Janet just told me that your goal was to compare msugra herwig points that Freiburg and Wisconsin produced with pythia ones that you would do. If so, then we were using Atlfast2 version a82 and not a84 as I sent you in my previous mail. So you should look at jobtransform specified for this taskid : http://www-f9.ijs.si/atlpy/atlprod/atlfasttask/1361/ If you want to check your setup at Bern, you can also have a look to what we did at freiburg and I explained at this meeting : http://indico.cern.ch/getFile.py/access?contribId=0&resId=1&materialId=slides&confId=53650   Cheers, Renaud.


Hi cyril. I will put the SHLA files for the msugra grid on the wiki: https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/AtlasProtected/SUSYSignalProduction so you can use them for your Pythia studies :-). Maybe you can also try Herwig++ - would be nice to see some results here :-) Cheers, janet
