Yet another problem with publication to OPFRA

Dear Igor, Elisabetta can delete the data set. After she deletes it, I will send you both the latest test version of publication software. Please do not retry with the current version. You can instead publish smaller data sets. I'll restart publication. The only question - how can I safely delete from OPFRA data set, which is not complete? Since this will probably happen again in future, the deleting tool is needed. Best regards, Igor. -----Original Message----- From: Cristiano Bozza [mailto:kryss@sa.infn.it] Sent: Sat 8/30/2008 2:39 PM To: Igor Kreslo Cc: pennacc@ipnl.in2p3.fr Subject: Re: Contact Dear Igor, unfortunately you hit a known problem of the current publication procedures. This error happens when the data set is very large, and takes long time. It is favoured by long-running queries and concurrent activity. The data set must be deleted and published again. This problem happened very frequently (even repeatably) at the beginning of August while publishing from LNGS to OPITA, and from OPITA to OPFRA. Now we have a set of test publication procedures, which appear to run very well from LNGS to OPITA, but have NEVER been tested in other connections. If you and Elisabetta are willing to test them, we can arrange. I have no other "safe" solution (it might even happen that if you publish again with the old version you don't hit the error, but I cannot guarantee).
